Epic in scale and ambition, the Handmade show at Milan’s Salone 2013, drew extensive attention from the world’s most influential creatives, who were enticed by intricate die-stamped silver invitations offered by the legendary design magazine Wallpaper*.
Printed for the third year running by Baddeley Brothers, this year’s invite was enhanced with letterpress, blind embossing and die stamping, printed on Materica 360g/m in Gesso from Fedrigoni. The unique white envelopes, hand-cut and folded individually, were delicately embossed with the Handmade logo and design elements from the Handmade brand to ensure maximum impact.
“We’re honoured to continue this long-standing relationship with Wallpaper*,” said director Charles Pertwee. “The Handmade show in Milan is an international celebration of art, craftsmanship and design and its important to us all that the brand embodies these sought-after qualities. Both the invitation and the envelope demonstrate that beautiful contemporary design can be enhanced by using traditional skills, lending the event authenticity and the promise of beauty.”
